The Junkyard

I was born in Chattanooga TN, and moved to Roswell when I was 15. That's where I met a guy that would end up being a brother to me, Jermaine Phillips. He played receiver at UGA for his 1st 3 years there, 1 as a redshirt, and played safety for his last two. Anyway that's how I ended up rooting for the dawgs, and HATING tennessee. Actually the color orange just hurts my eyes in general to be honest. I been a fan ever since he signed there in 1997, and even once he left I just stuck around because pullin for the dawgs just felt like the right thing to do in my heart. It literally means that much to me and I know the rest of you guys know what I'm talkin about. I'm 32 and about to graduate from Valdosta State University witha degree in Office Administration and Technology. Other than that I think this was a cool post and good idea to get everybody to introduce themselves. GO DAWGS!!

I was born a poor black child. Delivered on the kitchen table. Daddy wanted to throw me out and keep the stork. Something about Mama and the gas man and the wood pile out back. But then the midwife slapped me on the butt, I began to squall, and miraculously turned a whiter shade of pale.

At the age of 5 I invented oxygen, and later my idea for the Internet was stolen by Al Gore, but that's another story.

I played high school football for a South Georgia coaching legend (I know this cause I've seen his picture on the wall at the Albany Civic Center). My senior year we went 3-7. I also suffered an extended hitting slump that spring which derailed my dreams of a career as a professional baseball player.

One of the proudest days of my life was the day I received my "Official Letter of Acceptance" to the University of Georgia. I couldn't wait to tell Mama and Daddy the good news at supper. Dad, being a practical man said; "Son, you might ought to look for schooling closer to home. You'll need to get some part time work, too, to help pay your way."

I graduated in 1981 with a degree in brain surgerying, with a minor in double-naught spying.
Mama had a picture made of me receiving my diploma from former president Jimmy Carter, though for some reason she has always refused to hang it on the wall.

After graduation I was having some problems finding gainful employment, so I decided to go west and become a mule skinner. However, while crossing the desert I was abducted by aliens and taken back to their home planet of Trafalgamore, where I was kept in a zoo, with three beautiful women, and was forced to make love to them three times a day and beg for boiled peanuts.

But the Trafalgamorians were kind, and after 30 years, they have returned me to this planet. They were supposed to erase my memory so that I wouldn't remember my experience, but strangely, the only thing I can't remember is the 2009 and 2010 football seasons.

And by the way, it's true that Elvis is alive, and was an alien, just from another planet. I guess the old saying that you can't go home again ain't true afterall.

My name is Clarke, I'm 25 and I live in Charleston, SC (hence, marshlanddawg). Attended Presbyterian College from 05-08, transferred to finish my degree at Anderson University b/c my grades weren't good and my parents were tired of paying full tuition since I wasn't pulling my weight. My greatest regret in life is not buckling down and earning my degree from Presby. I love that place with all my heart and whether people like it or not, Presbyterian will always be my home.

My mothers family is from Athens, GA so I've been a dawg fan since I was little. I can't remember my first game but I know I'd go to one or two every now and then growing up, but mostly sitting in my grandfathers living room w/ the other 20+ members of my family cheering on the dawgs. In middle school, hs and college I went all over the place to watch the dawgs, our family even bought tickets to the Rose Bowl in '04 when the thought was if we beat LSU we'd get put out there. UGA lost, but we made a golfing wknd out of it and it was a blast. Tons of favorite UGA memories but being the Sugar Bowl in the blowout win against Hawaii was awesome.

My favorite teams are: UGA, the 3 main ATL teams, Vancouver WhitecapsFC, and the Vancouver Canucks. I follow all of them pretty religiously.

My name is Nathan. Born in Colorado and lived all over as a kid due to my father being in the service. I'm going to be a junior at UGA in the fall. Grew up in northern VA hence VirginiaDawg. Ive missed one home game since 2002, my dad and i drove to every game from Virginia every fall weekend to see our boys tee it up between the hedges and my love for UGA has gotten to the point where I shed a tear or two when I got that acceptance letter. Both my parents are UGA alum do I've been a dawg since before I was born and will graduate in two years with a history degree and poly sci minor. I am also soon to be apart of the Bulldog Battallion(Army ROTC) and will serve our great country after I graduate. Other than football, I'm a huge hockey and golf guy so if you guys want to talk hockey, golf or history I am your guy. The PM box is always open.

I'm Dave, originally from Watkinsville. We moved there in '73 from San Antonio...but I became a Georgia fan on Thanksgiving night, 1971 against Tech, not knowing I'd be moving close by 2 short-years later. My father retired from UGA in 2000, and my 2 sisters and I all attended UGA. I have many, many reasons to be thankful for all the wonderful things that have occurred in my life. Starting school at UGA as a freshman in 1980 rates very high. Currently, I work in Ft. Lauderdale and have been in south Florida since '93. I'm surrounded by Gators. Literally. At work, in the canals behind my house, crossing the road. Some end up in swimming pools, some end up in staff meetings. They're all offensive, especially in the fall. My existence has not been pleasant during late-October, early-November over the last 20-odd seasons for obvious reasons. However, things have changed. I believe Georgia, provided we can keep our composure and remain disciplined, is poised to go on a serious run against Florida. We are also building the kind of defensive foundation and consistency that will sustain this program for a long, long time. Defense wins championships, and we've got one hell of a defense...and it's not going to change as long as Todd Grantham is around. Go Dawgs!

My name is Josh. Handle came obviously from me being from Perry, but born in Minot, ND. I'm 24 years old, married with one beautiful daughter (three in Sept) and wife, work full time and attend college all year (which sucks). I have been a dawg since I was about four after I started watching them on the television, and now my wife thinks I'm obsessed. My first game was the 2002 UGA vs UF game during my freshmen year of high school where UGA was undefeated up to that game and UF managed to break my spirit that night. I would certainly be attending UGA for college, but they do not have my degree and I wouldn't go to GT even if Hell froze over. Currently I drive a tractor-trailer for a food distributor, but cannot wait until I earn my degree so I can trade the hard life for the good life. It appears, from the down votes on my previous post, that some of you think I am lying. I assure you that what I wrote is totally true, except for the parts that aren't true. I had a hard day at the doctor's office yesterday and must have had a reaction to something.

In my other life I'm 52 years old, live in Leesburg, Ga. with my girlfriend of 11 years, and a bob-tailed cat named Bob Katt. I have a grown daughter, who I must say, showed great intelligence and maturity by marrying a UGA grad. I have a 2 year-old grandson who can already say "GO DAWGS" and "Herschel". I teach computer networking and security for a Sowega college.

I was a Dawg before I can remember. I can prove this because my Mama has a picture of me and my brother in our Bulldog outfits, complete with shoulder pads and helmets, that we received for Christmas when I was 2 1/2 years old.

My first Georgia Bulldog game was the 1976 21-0 white-washing of Alabama on Bear Bryant's last visit to Sanford Stadium. Man, was there a helluva party that night.
