  • Hi , If you ever called 1-900 370 prep, and listened to the Ga report from Bill Dollar., U will know who I am. lol. Just turned 75 , live in Memphis Tn, Obama retired now since he cost me my biz. Been a bulldog for about 60 yrs now. Could write a book on the dawgs , but it would take too much work, lol. I am a board member of the TD Club of memphis and spend a lot of time booking speakers and such, go to the Coaches Convention every year and present the Academic Award to the head coach that grads the highest percentage of his athletes. I have followed UGA recruiting for a lifetime now. One day I will sit down and write a book called recruiting stories. lol. What memories I have from the 50 s all the way up to now. When they kick the first spade of dirt on my grave I will go down barking, Woof Woof . Bill H

  • Hi guys...I must say great thread! As you can see, I am mainly an observer and do not post very often. My name is Amy and I live in Tampa, Florida. Grew up in Marietta and graduated North Cobb in 1987. I was at UGA in the late 80's and must say that like you all, my love for all things DAWG runs deep. I am loud and proud in the heart of Gator country!!! I just wanted to tell you guys that I have certainly enjoyed reading a lot of the good natured and educated banter around here and am so very glad I signed up. I hope to be contributing more often in the future!

Thanks to the OP and GO DAWGS!

Glad you decided to post. We are definitely in the middle of Gator country as I live in New Port Richey. There are plenty of other Dawgs here in the Tampa Bay area. The best part of where we live will be when the Dawgs play in Miami for the MNC it will be a short drive away.godawgs

  • My personality is so contagious, they have created vaccine's for it. If I was to pat you on the back, you would put it on your resume.
I have inside jokes with complete strangers. Cuba imports cigars from me. My wallet is made of chupicabra leather. Both sides of my pillow stay cool.
I AM the most interesting Dawg fan in the world.
I always break for animals, but when I don't I run over gators.

When I lived in Palm Harbor (Tampa area) with my Gator loving wife, I had a Georgia flag on my front yard. My neighbor in the duplex was a die-hard Georgia fan as well. We are there if you look for us. I have seen G-gear in New Hampshire and Wisconsin. (I also had a couple of people ask me where I found a red-and-black Packers hat.) We are everywhere.

BTW-the wife is a dawg now. Mostly due to CMR. After watching a show on his family, she said she couldn't root against him any more.

I have not as of yet. I met a Georgia fan at (of all places) a USF football game. He and his wife have season tickets just down the aisle from my wife and our family. He asw me with my UGA gear on and we struck up some good conversations. His son went to USF as did my wife for her Masters degree (got her BS from Tech pukeface. He mentioned last year about the Bulldog Club and I told him I might try to get down there to watch the games this season with them.

My wife has not converted (Tech grad) but she does like CMR. Being a Christian family ouselves she really appreciates what he stands for and how he involves his players as much as they are willing to participate in Christian activities.

  • From my posts, most of you probably know a lot more about me than you care to biggrin , but since I didn't formally reply the first time this thread was posted and as it's now been revived, I thought I now would. Here's a little about who I am, what I do, and how I grew to be a Dawg.

As you can read on my Avatar (a novel that I was fortunate to have published in 2003), my name is Joseph A. Whaley, Jr. (Joe). With my initials, JAW, Jr., and since I'm a Dawg, I thus derived my posting handle, JAWJeRDAWG.

I'm a Pharmacist, and on July 31, 2010, retired after working 40 years; the last 34 as Pharmacy Director of Southwest Georgia Public Health. I returned to practice the next day serving as Assistant Pharmacy Director, but now working only Monday through Thursday. Having to respond to two devastating floods and four tornadoes in SW Georgia while serving as Pharmacy Director, I was asked by FEMA to compile our disaster relief efforts into a response manual for others in Public Health to use as a guide for how best to provide drugs, biologicals, and medical supplies during times of natural and man-made disasters, and how pharmacists can best work to mitigate death, disease, and human suffering.

I've been a Dawg fan since my childhood days; first sitting with my Dad in his car in the early 1950's, listening to the Bulldawg radio broadcasts, then, in my high school years, oftentime sitting on a dove field somewhere in SW Georgia listening to Larry Munson on my portable radio. All those Saturdays deepened my love of Georgia football. After receiving two degrees from UGA, I now proudly hold seven season tickets and enjoy getting together with my son and daughter and their families on football Saturdays in the Classic City! IMO, there's nothing football-related that's better!

I've had and continue to have a very fulfilled Pharmacy practice, and God willing, I'm looking forward to many years of Saturdays in Sanford Stadium!
