11:34 p.m. Tuesday -- Well, we couldn't wait to get started. Running updates will be posted on here throughout Wednesday. As linked above, we’ll also have live threads on The Junkyard for each of the prospects yet to announce. We’ll see all of you bright and early for what promises to be an action-packed and very eventual National Signing Day from UGA’s perspective.

6:54 a.m. -- Good morning and happy National Signing Day to all of you! Rusty is already up and on his way to Josh Dawson's press conference at Tucker this morning, while I'm about to head out to the Butts-Mehre to get camped out for the day.

7:34 a.m. -- First big news of the day: Cordarrelle Patterson is bound for Tennessee, according to various reports, including one by the guys at GoVols247.

7:46 a.m. -- The first LOI of the day is in: John Theus.

7:55 a.m. -- Collin Barber's signature is in

8:01 a.m. -- Thanks to UGA for the breakfast media spread. Yay!

8:35 a.m. -- Todd Gurley is in, it appears. There was some concern about a wait for him because of the International Bowl he's playing in.

8:47 a.m. -- Greg Pyke has signed as we wait on Jaquay Williams news

8:53 a.m. -- John Atkins has signed

9:18 a.m. -- Josh Harvey-Clemons commits to GEORGIA

9:29 a.m. -- Jaquay Williams sticks with Auburn

9:40 a.m. -- Went down for a little bit. Sheldon Dawson, Blake Tibbs, Quayvon Hicks are now in.

9:45 a.m. -- Word now that Brandon Greene has signed with Alabama

10:08 a.m. -- Josh Dawson switches from Vandy to UGA

10:11 a.m. -- Jordan Jenkins signature is in

10:50 a.m. -- Mass update: Leonard Floyd, James Deloach, Jonathan Taylor and Ty Smith now have LOIs in the house.

11:23 a.m. -- Josh Dawson is now official

11:30 a.m. -- Marshall Morgan is now in.

11:37 a.m. -- Richt about to address fans in Butts-Mehre lobby

12:12 p.m. -- Richt and assistants now finished with a brief address to fans in lobby. Press conference up within the hour. Harvey-Clemons the only known commitment who has yet to sign.

2 p.m. -- Just wrapped up interviews with Richt and early enrollees. Very impressed with Keith Marshall and Mark Beard

2:07 p.m. -- So Avery Young commits to Auburn. And that one stings a little bit if you're UGA.

2:41 p.m. -- OK, still on Josh Harvey-Clemons watch up here at Butts-Mehre. No LOI yet. Mark Richt said he wasn't concerned about it, but it does appear that this is not concluded yet.

3:38 p.m. -- Just posted this story on the Harvey-Clemons situation.

Thurs 8:30 a.m. -- Josh Harvey-Clemons signs with UGA.

  • Sounds an awful lot like Ole Woodrow, is unwilling to sign the papers so this kid can commit to where he wants to go. He had stated on Monday, that he didn't like that CMR, would not insure him that Josh wouldn't get red shirted, so I think he is basically telling the kid, to go to Florida or FSU or he will not sign the LOI. I think the kid, as good as he is, would still need to put on some weight so I am sure CMR and staff were looking at him as a depth signer right now, so who really knows. It is a shame that his grand father would do that, but in today's world, I am no longer surprised.
I can just see it now. If josh takes a hard hit on the field, ole Woodrow will come out of his seat, run on the field and give the refs. or the player making the hit, hell because they hit the kid too hard. I hate it for the kid, but UGA will still be fine at the position he would most likely have played at. Time to move on most likely, wish the kid the best and get on with the folks we have. UGA does not need the drama or headache.

  • We wanted Patterson, but UT absolutely needed him Like with Bama and us last year for IC.

Same thing re Williams and Auburn.

CMR mentioned that our depthy at WR may have been a factor in some decisions.

In any event, Tibbs could be the steal of this class. Some in the know claim he was the state's most athletic player this year. All I know is anyone who can score 5 tds against Stephenson si pretty impressive.

And don't forget that Sheldon Dawson can be a playmaker of offense.

We met our needs well, especially with Marshal and Gurley. The fact that we didn't offer any more OLs tells me the coaches are pleased with the development of our young OLs. There was talk of offering several JUCO OLs, but now we have more bullets left for next year's class.
